Special Fundraiser for ALS Awareness Month

ALS fundraiser

Every 90 minutes someone is diagnosed with ALS

ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, (also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. There is no cure for ALS yet.  It takes away the freedom to walk, to talk, to run and dance. To laugh. To hug. To eat. To breathe.
May is ALS Awareness Month and I've got an extra special fundraiser to announce. I've created a unique necklace to help a local young man and his family with their battle.

Tavarua Island~

tavaua island
Tyler was diagnosed with ALS at 26. This new design was inspired by this young man’s love of surfing the beautiful waters off the coast of Tavarua Island.

I interpreted the outline of Tavarua Island to be almost heart-shaped, which made the shape perfect for this pendant.  I also added a wave-like texture on the pendant to symbolize Tyler's love of surfing.   Plus, I added a special light blue stone bead, the color of the ocean waters and Tyler's eyes.

Tyler's Tavarua Island Pendant Necklace

I’ve designed and hand-crafted this special pendant necklace to help raise funds for his journey to be the miracle and find a cure.  $25 from each purchase will be donated to Tyler’s Tribe.  Wearing or gifting this special necklace will bring joy and allow you to share in Tyler’s quest.
