I've found a fun way to help raise money for some great causes.  In trying to come up with new ways to show my jewelry in the world of social distancing and cancelled events, I've ventured into the realm of Virtual Jewelry Parties.  I've been having a fun time "hanging out" online and it has been a great distraction from all the worry.

Here's what we're doing:

The hostess gets to select a charity to support.  We start a Facebook Group and she invites friends to shop Beth Jewelry online.  We schedule the "party" for one week and post lots of info about the jewelry in the group. A portion of sales goes to her selected charity.

This week, I'm super excited to help my dear friend, Louise Nielsen, raise money for a charity that is very dear to her heart.  Here's what she has to say about it:

I’ve chosen the Valley Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship fund as my charity. The Valley Hospital, in Ridgewood NJ is close to my heart because there is a scholarship fund there created in memory of my mother, Barbro M Boekenheide. Twenty-seven years ago, my father started the fund to help advance the health field careers of volunteers at VH.

My Mother was the President of their Auxiliary at the time of her death. My father kept this fund going since 1993 until his death 3 years ago and many students have benefited as a result.

Coincidentally, I was sending some donated medical mask covers to the hospital and found out the fund had been depleted just last year. It is my hope to help rebuild this fund in memory of both of my parents. In addition to money I’ve raised making & selling masks,  a portion of your purchase of Beth Jewelry will go to this cause and you will also be able to help with the educational goals of Valley Hospital Auxiliary volunteers!
